Nightmare Before Christmas and Mummy director Henry Selick is about to buck the norm for stop-motion animation with a live-action film called Hansel and Gretel's A Tale Dark (Grimm). Based on the children's novel of the same name by Adam Gidwitz, the film is the first in a trilogy series about two siblings who hope to escape the dark world of fairy tales and find happiness again. Hansel and Gretel step out of their own world into eight scary fairy tales inspired by the classic Grimm fairy tales. They will encounter obstacles such as wizards, warlocks, dragons and devils along the way.
