James Gordon grew up on the outskirts of Gotham City with romantic fantasies about this glamorous, exciting metropolis. His late father had been a well-known district attorney in the city, and he himself had the honor of being a detective with the Gotham City Police Department. Just two weeks into his new job, he's engaged to doctor Barbara Kean and has vowed to return the city to what he remembers as a child. Will Batman characters make an appearance in this story?
