This play is adapted from the novel of the same name by Japanese writer Chen Shunchen. This work is the only full-length mystery novel set in Taiwan by Taiwanese writer Chen Shunchen. This is also the first time that Chen Shunchen's work has been visualized in the Chinese language world. In 1946, the cargo ship "Chaofeng Maru" returned to Keelung Port full of Taiwanese who were eager to return to Japan.
