This is the story after Eva Peron's death. The eventful 22 years of "Evita's" embalmed body were every bit as eventful as the 33 years of her life. Evita died in 1952, but her body waited three years on the ground for a monument that was ultimately never built. President Perón, whose government was overthrown in a military coup in 1955, hid the body for 19 years lest it become a symbol of opposition to the regime.
