Freeform announced that the 10-episode new drama "Siren" (formerly known as "The Deep", the first trial episode after the TV station changed its name) will be scheduled for 18 years. The drama is written by Eric Wald and Dean White. Monster is set in Bristol Cove, a seaside town known as the habitat of the fabled mermaids; and when a mysterious girl shows up to prove the legends are true and the mermaids want to retake the ocean, a catastrophe ensues. The war between humans and the sea is about to start.
